greytHR is one of the most widely deployed HR and payroll platforms in India, built around statutory compliance. Kyrospect is an early-access workforce platform that holds the employee record and the tracked workday on one identity — and does not do payroll.
Short verdict
Choose greytHR when payroll and statutory compliance are the requirement. Choose Kyrospect when payroll is out of scope and the missing layer is a reviewable, employee-visible workday attached to the people record.
Check greythr.com for their current plans rather than a figure quoted second-hand here. Kyrospect's early-bird pricing is public: Track Basic is free forever, Track Advanced is ₹50/seat/month, and HRMS is ₹10/seat/month excluding payroll, with the founder rate protected for 12 months from paid activation.

Activity, hours and shift context are held as a reviewable record attached to the person, not reduced to a number that feeds a payroll run.
Team members can see their own tracked activity, which is what makes the record usable in a conversation rather than only in a report.
Track Basic is free forever and does not require the HR layer. You can solve one problem without buying a platform.
No payroll, no reporting exports, no integrations today — all three are on the roadmap and stated as not built.
The workday layer: time, activity, screenshots and optional location context, policy-controlled from Track Basic (free forever) up to Advanced+.
The people layer: employee records and team directory on the same login as Tracking. Organization structure is rolling out; several modules are still planned.

Vendor pricing and features change — confirm current details on greytHR's own site before deciding. “Check vendor” means we could not confirm that capability from greytHR's public pages; it may exist on some plans. Cells with a “source” link were checked against that vendor's own page on 8 October 2026.

These are not the same product and it would be misleading to present them as competitors in every case. greytHR's centre of gravity is payroll and statutory compliance, which Kyrospect does not do at all. Where they genuinely overlap is attendance and the employee record — and the difference there is that Kyrospect puts the tracked workday and the people record on one identity rather than treating attendance as an input to payroll.
Captured activity data is stored encrypted
Owner, member, or a custom role you define
Every team member can view their own tracked activity
If you are buying payroll, buy payroll — we do not compete for that and will not pretend to. If the gap is that your workday data and your people data never meet, apply for early access.
