An HRMS typically centers on an employee record and extends into modules such as organization structure, self-service, attendance, leave, and payroll. Mature products differ mainly in how many of those modules are fully built versus roadmap items. Kyrospect's HRMS is in preview: the employee record, organization structure, self-service profile, and team directory run on a real backend today, while additional modules are being built out and should not be assumed to be live until confirmed on the current product and pricing pages.

How It Works in Practice

• A single employee record sits at the centre, and every other module reads from it rather than keeping a separate copy of who someone is.
• Organisation structure captures reporting lines and teams, which is what lets approvals and visibility follow the shape of the company automatically.
• Self-service moves routine updates to the person who has the correct information, cutting both HR workload and stale data.
• Attendance, leave and payroll build on that base, which is why they behave badly when the base record is inconsistent.

A Worked Example

A company of 60 people keeps employees in a payroll tool, a spreadsheet for leave, an IT asset list and a manager's own notes. Someone changes their bank details in payroll and their address in the spreadsheet. Six months later nobody can say which address is current, and the offboarding checklist misses a laptop because the asset list was never linked to the leaver. None of the four systems is broken. The Common Mistake

Buying for the module list rather than the record model. Products are compared on how many modules appear on a feature grid, when the difference that shows up eighteen months later is whether there is one authoritative employee record everything else reads from, or several that quietly disagree.
